Remote Learning

This page contains information about our Remote Learning provision at Rothbury First School.  We will update any policies in accordance with government guidelines and will inform you if these change.

It is important to know that, unlike the 2020 lockdown, there is a government expectation for children to complete any remote learning set.  Our current policy is explained below.

Our remote learning will be sent out via Tapestry for EYFS and Google Classroom for the rest of school.  We have produced some guidance for using Google Classroom that is useful for most devices.  Google Classroom can be accessed by any device that has a web browser, including Playstation and X-Box.  We cannot guarantee that all content will work on all device types.

Our remote learning offer is designed for our school community.  We have listened and acted on feedback you gave us in September to assist us in designing our learning for future periods of lockdown.  We have tried to design  our learning to fit the curriculum as it would be taught in school whilst ensuring that our children can access work without having a teacher in the room.  Children who are in school will complete the same lessons.
